Johnny Palisay

Johnny is a New York-based photographer with over 30 years
experience as an art director in the advertising industry.

A few years ago on a trip to Venice, he picked up his camera
and began shooting again. After a while, having exhausted his share
of canals, gondolas, and architecture, he decided to photograph
the people of Venice instead.

He realized that his tourist status granted him permission
to walk up to total strangers and simply ask.

One year, at fest he started doing the same thing.  

And FolkFestFolk was born.
